Job Summary

Our Orange County campus is currently recruiting for a full time Facilities Supervisor. The Facilities Supervisor coordinates and oversees the maintenance needs and well-being of the building at the Orange County campus. Duties such as painting and carpentry, repairs of electrical or mechanical equipment; installation of new equipment; repairs to the building, floors or stairs. This position also oversees all custodial staff on site to be sure all custodial needs are met. This position is responsible to train staff and inspect work performed, develop safety policies, and manage department budget. The Facilities Supervisor leads staff, fosters teamwork, balances group and individual responsibilities, evaluates quality and performance; and models dependability and hard work. They serve with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s culture, values and mission.


Essential Functions

  • Meet all maintenance needs for the building, oversee custodial staff on site and verify
    that all custodial needs are being met.
  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work
    priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel, ensuring completion is done in
    a timely manner.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, provide employee
    safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of
    procedures and safety rules.
  • Monitor employees’ work and performance to ensure that it meets specifications and
  • Check and maintain equipment to ensure that it is in working order, using hand
    /power tools and gauges to verify conformance.
  • Work with event planners/coordinators on site and facilitate set up and tear down of
    tables, chairs, etc. for all church events.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work
  • Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
  • Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance and custodial policies and procedures.
  • Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.
  • Represent Harvest favorably to the staff, public, and other external sources.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among staff and external
  • Interview, hire, train and supervise staff; prepare and deliver annual evaluations.
  • Schedule employees work hours, review time cards, approve vacation requests and
    handle personnel issues.
  • Physical requirements with or without accommodation include: Ability to lift up to 50
    lbs consistently, 100 lbs occasionally, repetitive hand and foot motions, prolonged
    standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, squatting, lifting,
    pushing, pulling and reaching.
