Steps to Spiritual Growth
January 30, 2025 | Harvest
A new year is here, and with it comes fresh opportunities to grow spiritually. Growth takes intentionality. So how can we draw closer to God in 2025 and experience a personal revival? It begins with five powerful practices.
- Make Church Attendance a Priority
Does going to church every week really matter? Absolutely. When you commit to attending church every Sunday, you’re creating a rhythm that puts God at the center of your life. Sunday becomes a day of worship, connection, and spiritual refueling.
For families, it’s especially meaningful. Attending church together not only strengthens your faith but shows your kids what it looks like to put God first. Imagine looking back on 2025, knowing that every Sunday is spent in the house of the Lord.
- Plug into a Small Group
Do you ever feel like you’re going through faith alone? God designed us to grow in community. Small groups are a place you can find encouragement, accountability, and deep friendships.
Whether it’s a men’s group, a women’s Bible study, or a gathering for young adults, small groups are the people who celebrate your wins, pray for your struggles, and cheer you on every step of the way. If you haven’t joined one yet, now’s the perfect time. You can sign up for a small group at harvest.church/groups.
- Serve Others in the Church
You might think serving in church is just for “qualified” people—but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Serving is about making yourself available to God’s work.
When you step out and serve, you’re following in Jesus’ footsteps. He came to serve, not to be served, and that example changes everything. Serving strengthens your faith, and blesses others. Whether it’s greeting, leading worship, or helping with kids, there’s a place for everyone to make a difference. You can check out ways to serve at harvest.church/serve.
- Embrace Generosity as Worship
Giving is a step of faith. But it’s also one of the most rewarding ways to grow spiritually. When you give, you’re making a powerful statement of trust in God’s provision.
Faithful giving fuels the church’s outreach and ministries, impacting lives locally and globally. In 2025, challenge yourself to give consistently and watch how God moves in your life through your faithfulness. You can commit to giving at harvest.church/give.
- Commit to Prayer
Personal revival starts when prayer becomes a daily priority. It’s the step of putting God’s Will above our own and asking for His guidance in everything we do. Together, as we prioritize prayer, we can see God’s power unleashed in incredible ways.
Let’s Grow Together in 2025
This year holds so much potential for spiritual growth and personal revival, but it’s up to us to take the first step. By prioritizing church, joining a group, serving, giving faithfully, and committing to prayer, we’re setting the stage for an extraordinary year of faith.
